Nice Network scoops Formica Group deal

Sunderland-based Nice Network's presence in the manufacturing sector has strengthened having bagged a two-year contract to supply worktop and high pressure laminate producer Formica Group with mobile devices from Vodafone.

Other key wins in the manufacturing vertical include Nike, Husqvarna and Dräger UK.

Formica Group employs over 1,000 people across Europe, 500 of them located in the north east of England where its sales and operations teams require hundreds of mobile handsets.

Adrienne Bishop, European Procurement Category Manager at Formica Group, said: “Historically we’ve worked with Vodafone directly, however this year we decided to move to a third party. With Nice Network we can tap into one-to-one support.

Mike Mead, Corporate Account Director at Nice Network, added: “Two years ago, when the account was being re-tendered, we narrowly missed out with the company preferring a deal with Vodafone.

“For the team at Nice Network, the Formica Group account is a major coup.”

Nice Network was founded 32 years ago, has 24 staff and £2.8m annual turnover. The company expects to double its headcount and reach £4m revenues this year.
