Belfast MSP set for major expansion

Managed service provider Novosco is expanding its Belfast office space by 50% as its headcount increases towards 300 people.

The fast-growing business, which won a £107m contract with a major UK health trust last year, has acquired an additional 5,000sq ft of space in the Concourse 3 building in the Titanic Quarter of the city to house additional staff.

The company's client-base includes many of Northern Ireland's 'top 100' companies, Irish universities, several large health trusts and housing associations and two English Premier League football clubs.

The new office space is on the floor below the firm's existing 11,000 sq ft facilities, and will provide a base for the team working on the major new contract signed with Cambridge University Hospitals Trust.

Novosco MD Patrick McAliskey said: “Increasing our footprint in Belfast is another important landmark in Novosco's growth and will enable us to continue to expand our team, adding significant value to the local economy."

Novosco currently employs 220 people, with plans in place for that to increase to over 300.

Last year, Novosco announced a £20m expansion project, including 150 new jobs. Invest Northern Ireland offered the company over £1.2m towards the creation of 114 of the new roles, to be based at it's Belfast headquarters.
