Pathway for telecoms careers launched by the ITP

The Institute of Telecommunications Professionals (ITP) has launched the Telecoms ICT Career Framework, alongside DSIT, Ofcom and UKTIN, to boost career pathways within the sector.

According to its founders, the framework comes as a response to the industry's need for a comprehensive guide that outlines clear routes into and throughout the sector.

Charlotte Goodwill, CEO at the ITP, said: "This represents a significant step forward in providing clarity and guidance to professionals seeking to navigate their careers within the evolving telecoms landscape.”

The framework will evolve and adapt to reflect the changing nature of the industry and incorporate feedback from industry members.

Goodwill adds: "We recognise that the career framework is a living document that relies on the engagement and input of our members and the broader industry.

"We encourage individuals working in telecoms roles to come forward and share their insights, experiences and expertise to further enhance and refine the framework to better serve the needs of our industry."

The ITP is inviting individuals working in telecoms roles to contribute job details and short "day in the life" videos to be included in the framework.
