Chess boosts security play with CyberLab buy

Chess has acquired CyberLab to enhance its end-to-end cyber security offering. Its services now span from testing, assessment, discovery to consultancy, delivery and hardening.

Cyberlab is an IASME certification body for Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus as well as the Cyber Assurance standard.

After the acquisition on Foursys in 2017, Chess declared its intentions to become a cyber security powerhouse. In 2021, it followed this with the acquisition of penetration testing specialists Armadillo Sec.

David Pollock (pictured), Chess Founder and Executive Chairman, said: “We have heard from our partners and experts how cyber threats, hackers and ransomware attacks are becoming more proficient and prolific.

“CyberLab’s expertise and technology further strengthen our capability to deliver end-to-end services to all of our customers.”

Ryan Bradbury, Director and founder of CyberLab, added: “Being part of a larger business has many benefits and opens new growth opportunities to our team.”
