Chess boosts hosted play with Callagenix buy

Chess has enhanced its hosted telephony suite with the acquisition of Berkshire-based Callagenix.

The operator uses a self-developed billing and operational platform to provide its services. Its semi-automated platform allows access to tailored services including call recording, international services and virtualised call centre operations.

Mark Jenkins, co-founder of Callagenix said: “The integration of Callagenix into Chess enables our customers to add services and further streamline their own digital transformation.”

Chess was advised in the deal by Evolution Capital. Sam Godfrey, Senior Transaction Advisor said: “Across all potential acquirers through the process, we felt that Chess best understood the strength of Callagenix and the benefits it could bring to their own customers moving forwards.”
