Lenovo's swoop on Smart Technologies MD Jane Ashworth will provide a boost to partner relations and strengthen its play in the education market, according to UK&I GM Preben Fjeld.
“Jane’s strong background in channel sales, channel development and product management will energise relationships with partners in the UK and Ireland,” he stated.
Ashworth joins Lenovo on October 1st as UK Director of Channel and SMB, bringing 20-plus years industry experience including senior positions at a number of major blue chip organisations including HP, Sony and most recently education sector specialist Smart Technologies.
The appointment follows Lenovo's launch of a new channel programme focused on increasing its presence in the education space.
Ashworth said: “The refreshed channel programmes are helping streamline processes for channel partners."
