Lenovo UK & Ireland has been awarded the Menopause Friendly Accreditation, recognising its commitment to supporting employees experiencing menopause in the workplace.
The Menopause Friendly Accreditation is the industry-recognised mark of excellence, awarded to organisations demonstrating a comprehensive approach to menopause support.
Established by Henpicked: Menopause In The Workplace in 2020, it certifies high standards and proven practices that embrace menopause in the workplace.
To achieve this accolade, Lenovo was assessed by an independent panel and had to demonstrate effectiveness in five key areas: culture, policies and practices, training, engagement and working environment.
The Menopause ERG (Employee Resource Group) at Lenovo supports employees affected by menopause and perimenopause, ensuring they receive the necessary support during this important life stage.
The key objectives of the programme are: Break the Taboo; Build Empathy and Understanding; Lobby for Support; Educate Employees; Integrate into Broader Health and Wellbeing Initiatives; and Communicate Commitment.
In addition to formal policies, Lenovo has several informal practices to support employees experiencing menopause including expert and confidential support for menopause-related issues; an Everywoman Menopause Toolkit; Menopause Champions; and adjustments to the office environment.
Adrian Criddle, VP and General Manager, Lenovo UK & Ireland commented: “This recognition reflects our dedication to creating a workplace where all employees feel supported and valued. Menopause can be a challenging time, and we believe that supporting our employees through all stages of their lives is crucial to maintaining a happy, healthy, and productive workforce."
