The Plantronics and Polycom brands have been shelved in a revamp that follows the merger of the two companies (completed in July last year).
The business will now be known as Poly, its focus being the 'human experience of communications and collaboration', said the firm.
The name-change reflects the definition of Poly as 'many', intended to denote the various audio and video solutions provided by Plantronics and Polycom.
Poly CEO and President Joe Burton said: “With advancements in AI, machine learning and new technologies, we see a future where Poly makes the connection, then quietly steps out of the way to become the one thing you don’t notice in the meeting.”
Amy Barzdukas, EVP and CMO, added: “Our new brand represents the many elements of our history that we bring together.”
