Intercity in Google link-up for mobile device security

IT and cloud solutions provider Intercity Technology has been chosen by Google to pilot its Android SME security service in the UK which claims to protect companies and their staff from theft, phishing attacks and viruses whilst working remotely.

Google’s automatically installed Android Enterprise Essentials solution was created to address invalid security solutions installed on sold mobile devices.

Intercity CEO Andrew Jackson, said: “Android Enterprise Essentials will transform the Android marketplace by creating greater accessibility for SMEs to secure their mobile devices. Whilst mobile and remote working has proven to support productivity in the short-term, we have also seen a significant increase in security breaches which have left businesses more vulnerable to cyber-attacks.”

Intercity, which is headquartered in Birmingham, now has satellite offices in Oakham , Bolton and Elstree.
