Netomnia has begun its first fibre rollout in Wales, aiming to connect 55,000 premises in Bridgend with gigabit broadband.
The altnet makes wholesale connectivity available to Internet Service Providers (ISPs), building the infrastructure for their broadband services.
Netomnia is partnering with GForce Telecoms for the rollout and expects the first houses to be live in Q1 2022.
Jeremy Chelot, Founder and CEO at Netomnia, said: “Bridgend is the first of many towns we aim to work with in Wales. Our fibre network will bring benefits to the local economy and overall wellbeing in Bridgend for many decades into the future.”
