A successful partnership between Hull KR, Smarter Technology and Connexin is being extended for a further two years and will see the ISP backing the Robins across the 2026 and 2027 seasons as a Platinum Partner of the rugby club.
Connexin’s support of the club will evolve to a 'back-of-shirt' position that will see Connexin literally backing the Robins across the 2026 and 2027 seasons as the company name Connexin will also appear on the sleeves of the Robins' warm-up jerseys.
Paul Lakin, Hull KR Chief Executive (pictured) said: “The extended partnership with Connexin is welcomed news and will see our association reach six years, and hopefully beyond, in total.
“We always say, the hallmark of a good partnership is a renewal, it shows it works for both parties, and we’ve found a natural synergy with Connexin from day one.
“We love working with the co-founders, Alex and Furqan, and we were able to deliver on our promise to them, that they would see Hull KR lift trophies in a Connexin branded shirt. We look forward to continuing to raise their brand awareness and activating with us.”
In March, Connexin signed a strategic agreement with CityFibre, allowing them to roll out services nationally.
Furqan Alamgir, co-founder and CEO of Connexin, sees the continued partnership with Hull KR as key to raising awareness across the UK.
Connexin has played a key role in changing the broadband market in Hull since 2012, taking on the KCOM monopoly and building a full-fibre network in the region to provide a choice for residents and businesses.
