Advania marks second acquisition with Gompute deal

Henrik Foyn-Laukvik, Head of M&A at Advania

Advania has acquired Gompute, a high-performance computing (HPC) and AI infrastructure platform, from atNorth, and includes Gompute's skilled teams in Sweden and Spain who will continue their work as part of Advania Sweden.

This move will help strengthen Advania Sweden's market position while enabling clients to meet strict data sovereignty requirements.

Following up on its recent acquisition of The AI Framework, these back-to-back acquisitions mark a decisive step in Advania’s strategy to become one of the UK’s and northern Europe’s most AI-focused MSPs - combining strategic AI consultancy (via The AI Framework) with sovereign, high-performance infrastructure (via Gompute).

It also gives UK enterprises what they’ve been lacking: both the strategic guidance and the technical backbone to adopt AI at scale. At a time when the UK lags in AI investment and regulation, Advania is filling the gap with European expertise, and an end-to-end AI services portfolio.

The transaction is pending regulatory approval and is expected to close during the third quarter of 2025.

Gompute delivers a complete, full stack solution for demanding HPC and AI workloads through private cloud services and scalable computing clusters, and it serves enterprise clients in sectors including financial services, automotive, and computer-aided engineering (CAE).

The company’s customers will now benefit from Advania’s broader AI capabilities, resources and local expertise across northern Europe while continuing to receive the same infrastructure, integrated software environment, end-user support, service levels and technical specifications.

While Gompute’s infrastructure continues to support a wide range of advanced computing needs, its roots in high-performance computing remain central. Industries that depend on HPC for research and development will continue to rely on Gompute for compute-intensive workloads, now backed by Advania’s broader service portfolio, regional presence, and focus on sustainable and secure digitalisation.

“As AI adoption accelerates across industries, organisations need infrastructure that meets both performance and regulatory demands,” said Henrik Foyn-Laukvik, Head of M&A at Advania (pictured).

“With Gompute, we can deliver those capabilities in-region, on-demand and under full client control, ensuring regulatory compliance. We will help to grow Gompute’s role as a trusted HPC platform while expanding its AI potential.”
