Government’s Huawei decision costs BT £500m

The cost to BT of the Government’s approval of Huawei to build the UK's non-core 5G network will be circa £500m over the next five years, according to BT Chief Exec Philip Jansen. He also noted that BT delivered results below expectations for Q3, down 2% to £17,246m, primarily due to ongoing headwinds from regulation, competition and legacy product declines, said the company.
