Virgin Media O2’s latest gigabit switch-on has connected a further 1.7 million homes to its network, taking the company’s total to ten million.
The latest switch-on connects homes across Blackpool, Cambridge, Leicester, Nottingham, Oxford and Swindon, with two thirds of Virgin Media O2’s footprint now able to access hyperfast speeds.
CEO Lutz Shüler said: “We are committed to connecting our entire network to these speeds by the end of the year and will invest at least £10bn over the next five years in the UK.”
