LilaConnect has begun work to connect 11,750 premises to full fibre in the Staffordshire town of Leek.
The network is set to be completed by the end of 2022 with the first premises going live by the end of 2022.
MD Brett Shepard said: “Internet usage has become much more than just streaming video and music or online shopping, it’s also about transforming communities with improvements such as better access to employment, education, and healthcare.”
