North secures safety contract with South Tyneside Council

North will deliver a CCTV Control Centre for South Tyneside Council, building on its 25-year relationship with the local authority.

The £600k contract will see North integrate multiple security systems merging access control, intruder detection and life safety into one system.

The new facility will be used to monitor Council services, including Public Space CCTV, local schools and wireless re-deployable cameras.

Daniel Chappell, Technical Account Manager at North, said: “South Tyneside will now enjoy the benefits of integrated technology and new cameras which monitor a 360-view of the area with clearer images achieved through enhanced sensors.”

The new control centre is expected to be complete by September 2023 and will spawn a five-year support service package.
