EE adds 150 UK locations to 5G network

EE is adding 150 new UK locations to its 5G network and upgraded coverage in areas expected to be busy during the festive period.

The 150 new locations in England include Kettering, Retford, Saltford, Scunthorpe, Carlisle, Barrow-in-Furness and Crewe

In Scotland, 5G will become available in Buckhaven, Cowdenbeath, Gorebridge, Saltcoats, Portlethen, Banchory and Ratho

Milford Haven, Pontypridd, Pencoed, Ebbw Vale, Whitland, Merthyr Tydfil and Pentyrch in Wales will also be upgraded.

Greg McCall, Chief Networks Officer, BT Group, said: “As we continue to invest in and expand our 5G network, we’re powering Christmas market destinations across more of the UK. The availability of high capacity, super-fast connectivity is crucial for customers and traders alike.”
