Midlands located IT office kit reseller Altodigital has acquired Bedfordshire-based Platinum, an IT support services company with a strong presence in the automotive vertical.
The move is part of Altodigital’s plan to drive 25% growth in the next three years.
“We are focusing on one more acquisition by the end of the year with a few others in the pipeline to meet that target," stated Altodigtal Business Manager Stewart Abrahart.
“We’ve known Platinum’s MD Sean Foster for a number of years. Platinum also works with Lexmark, one of our partners, so I see the business as a perfect fit for Altodigital.
“Platinum specialises in the automotive industry and has about 10% of the UK market. Within Altodigital we want to expand and with our backing Platinum can increase its market share. The partnership is already paying off."
Foster added: “We have been trading for 20 years in IT services and about five years ago we made great in-roads with Lexmark as a business solutions dealer.
“We were Lexmark’s dealer of the year for a number of years and people started to hear about us. We made a lot of progress quickly.
“Connecting with Altodigital is a good fit all round and there is a good opportunity for both businesses to grow.”
