Wireless whizz joins ip.access as CEO

Small cell provider ip.access has appointed Richard Staveley as CEO.

He brings 25 years experience in the wireless industry and British Arm; and also co-founded Stratto where he served as chief commercial officer and board member.

Prior to that Staveley was global vice president of sales and partnerships at Ubiquisys from 2006 until 2013 when Ubiquisys was acquired by Cisco for $310m.

At Cisco, Staveley led service provider sales for small cells and Wi-Fi. He also held other senior roles in the UK including vice president of sales for General Dynamics (previously IPWireless).

Staveley is responsible for scaling the company's existing partnerships and positions in a number of wireless markets, including aviation and maritime communications, security and surveillance solutions, cellular and private networks.
