Marston's Telecoms has completed a New Year staff recruitment drive to bolster its channel growth plans, adding new members to its management, customer support and sales teams.
MD Mike McMinn (pictured), who founded Marston's Telecoms in 2008 and appeared twice in the CIO Top 100 (2016/17), doubles up as Group IT Director for parent company Marston's PLC.
Joining him on the Marston's Telecoms board is incoming Operations Director Tony Ford who has experience across a number of industries and companies ranging from retail management, Apple, British Airways and local and national Government.
For the past 17 years he has held senior positions with UK telecoms and Internet businesses gaining experience in operations, product development and systems.
Ford said: "Our recent partnership with Westcon-Comstor, in particular on-boarding the Comstor Mentor Program, will enable us to accelerate our Cisco ambitions and continue to support channel partners with an expanding portfolio of products and solutions. Significant investment in our telecoms business will enable us to move quickly to serve new demand."
Also joining Marston's Telecoms is Network Manager Mike Paglia, who in 1994 founded Hampshire's first Internet café.
He went on to acquire the Internet business supplying the café and built it into a successful ISP which was was sold in 2003.
Paglia has worked for large corporate companies with more than £1.2bn turnover and been responsible for managing substantial budgets.
He brings deep experience in managing networks and will be focused on providing channel partners with business growth models.
David Ryder joins as Account Manager following a five year stint at BT Business where he was a Corporate Account Manager in Data and Telecoms.
McMinn stated: "These are significant appointments for Marston's Telecoms, designed to support our ambitious growth plans.
"These will be driven in part by launching several new products into the market in the near future."
