Uplands OneTelco CEO completes challenge for children’s charity

Uplands OneTelco CEO Paul Hooper recently completed a successful boxing challenge to raise awareness for a charity that helps end orphanages and provides a loving home for all children.

The funds given to the Hope and Homes for Children will help youngsters’ lives and future happiness.

Hooper, a 5th Dan Taekwondo instructor who runs his own club in Somerset, undertook an hour of 1-minute rounds, with no breaks and a new opponent every 60 seconds, and emerged to tell the tale.

He said: “Some were very determined, like Lewis – my first-round opponent, who is an MMA and boxing fighter and has competed across the UK and Europe.

“He hits like a truck! After 60 brutal rounds, battered and bruised, it only felt right to grab a photo together.”

The fundraiser saw the CEO fighting alongside some of his best students, including three of his children.

“Today, I’m sporting a cut eyebrow, missing skin from the bottom of my foot, plenty of bruises all over my body and what feels suspiciously like a slightly misplaced rib.

“But every ache and bruise was worth it,” concluded Hooper.
