KubeNet racks up miles for Motor Neurone Disease

The KubeNet team is representing team Glasgow in Doddie AID’s (Active Inter-District challenge that runs through January) intercity exercise challenge to rack up miles and raise funds for research into Motor Neurone Disease.

KubeNet employees will be running, cycling and walking with the goal of hitting a combined 2,000 miles. For every 1,000 miles completed, the company will donate an additional £500.

KubeNet Director Julie Inglis (pictured) said: “#DoddieAID is a fantastic initiative for people to get involved in either individually or as a team.”

Doddie AID is run by the My Names’5 Doddie Foundation, founded by Scottish rugby international Doddie Weir OBE to help fellow sufferers of Motor Neuron Disease.

The foundation has so far raised £7m in three years.

“Doddie Weir is a legend in the world of sport and the impact he has made on raising awareness and funds for Motor Neuron Disease is incredible," added Inglis.

“We greatly appreciate all the support we have been given so far in clocking up the miles and donations received for this very worthy cause which needs funds in order to find a cure and greater treatments.”

KubeNet has a longstanding relationship with rugby both as the technology and telecoms partner of the Glasgow Warriors and the sponsor of several teams at a grass roots level.
