Breakwater team takes to the skies for charity

Eight members of the Norwich-based Breakwater IT team will be skydiving to raise funds for its local charity The Feed, who operate a café and food truck to prevent poverty, hunger and homelessness.

The skydive will be on 25th August, 5pm at Beccles Airfield in Norwich where MD John Gostling (pictured) will be joined by team members Jack Fisher, David Pitt, Jordan Getley, David Loveridge, Hugo Simkiss, Sam Brown and Michael Headland.

Breakwater IT recently donated £1,000 to help The Feed purchase its food truck and any money raised from the skydive will go to funding work experience placements in the Feed Café and catering business, designed to help people facing a barrier to employment get back into the workplace.

Breakwater IT chose The Feed due to the amount of people affected by home and job losses over the pandemic.  Gostling said: “This year is the first year we’ve decided to focus our fundraising efforts on one local charity and the Feed’s work experience placements are vital to getting the people they support back into a workplace. We therefore decided to start with a bang and do a team skydive!”
