William Gallon, an apprentice in Smart IT’s telecom division, has been named winner of the Rising Star Award at the North East National Apprenticeship Awards 2021.
Gallon will now represent the region at the National Final on 1st December 2021.
He said: “My apprenticeship has given me lots of opportunities and I have learnt a lot of new skills which I would not have learnt if I went to University. Whilst completing my apprenticeship I have developed my understanding of new areas of the business from accounts to the telecoms department which is where I am now based.”
