Veeam Software is speeding towards its $1bn revenue target, spurred by another period of record trading, notching up $827m in total bookings revenue in 2017, an increase of 36% year-over-year for the provider of availability solutions for virtual, cloud and physical workloads.

Japanese giant NEC has acquired Northgate Public Services (NPS) from PE firm Cinven for £475m. Cinven will remain a stakeholder in the company with a board position. NPS is a software and services provider to the public sector in the UK and Australia and will retain its brand identity.

Interxion expands with new data centre builds

New expansion projects in seven cities across Europe have been unveiled by data centre services company Interxion.

The firm will construct its third data centre in Madrid, add a second data centre in Brussels, and expand existing data centres in Amsterdam, Paris, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Vienna. It has also added to its land bank in Amsterdam.
