Node4 customers will benefit from faster connections and reduced costs following the installation of BT Datacentre Connect at its Derby and Wakefield data centres.
The move offers Node4 access to BT Wholesale's national Wholesale Ethernet portfolio and forms part of BT Wholesale's plans to roll out its Ethernet network across more than 50 data centre locations in the UK.
Aaron Tebutt, Vendor Manager, Node4, said: "Node4's data centres are two of only a small number to offer this outside of London, and will prove valuable for helping our customers to deliver to cloud services, storage, hosted communications and more at a fraction of the cost."
Paul Beacham, General Manager Data Portfolio Management, BT Wholesale, added: "There's been a huge increase in the need for enhanced services and connectivity between data centres in the UK. BT is able to provide high bandwidth, resilient connectivity services into critical data centre locations to reduce lead-times compared with traditional fibre access solutions.
