Modern Networks enters south west with Bluegrass buy

Modern Networks has acquired Exeter-based IT provider Bluegrass Group to expand its reach into the south west.

The deal takes Modern Networks headcount to more than 165 employees operating from Hitchin, Cambridge, Guildford and Exeter. It also brings clients and expertise in specific verticals, particularly the commercial property sector.

Founder and CEO, Matt Reeve (pictured), said: “Both organisations align perfectly in terms of core values and customer service philosophy. Our intention is to expand the business in the south west.”

Modern Networks is backed by leading private equity firm Horizon Capital which acquired a majority stake in April 2021.
