Contract wins bring £1m boost for North

North has won two major projects in Newcastle, bringing a £1m annual boost and spurring a recruitment drive to support its north east growth plans.

The projects will see the company deliver safety and security technologies to Northumbrian Water and a new cutting-edge office building for The Lumen.

For Northumbrian Water, North will install the likes of CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and high security technology across both Essex and Suffolk, while providing a managed support contract.

In addition, North will be working with The Lumen which forms part of the £350m Newcastle Helix development for the building’s smart systems control and will install fire and security alarms in addition to a PA system and a disabled refuge system.

North is now recruiting for life safety systems engineers and technical engineers as part of business growth plans in Newcastle.

Lewis Reid, Head of Construction and FM Services at North, said: “These projects mark a significant growth period for us in the north east as we grow and expand with an ambitious strategy to attract new business.”
