Midwich has acquired Cooper Projects, the parent company of UK security distributor DVS.
Cardiff-based DVS specialise in the provision of CCTV and associated security devices to the corporate, retail and residential.
“The acquisition of DVS gives Midwich access to a significant segment of the security market in which we currently have little presence, and which is expected to grow at around 8% per annum for the next five years,” said Midwich MD Stephen Fenby.
He added: “The knowledge and support of the DVS team should help realise new opportunities for our customers in an increasingly converging technology market.”
The existing DVS management team of Tim Goodson (MD), Gavin Dunleavy (CD) and David Davies (CTO) will maintain a stake in the business.
Dunleavy said: “With the Security and AV sectors growing ever closer we can increase our offering to both of our customer bases whilst increasing the high levels of service our customers expect.”
