ANS sells majority stake to Inflexion and unites with UKFast

ANS has been acquired by private equity firm Inflexion and will be united with cloud hosting business UKFast to create a digital transformation giant.

The deal sees Inflexion buy out the Manchester MSP’s founder Scott Fletcher and become majority stakeholders in ANS. Paul Shannon (pictured), CEO of ANS, said: “Inflexion’s initiative provides a platform for us to accelerate our ambitious growth plans.”

ANS will continue operating under its own brand but will be brought together with existing Inflexion investment UKFast meaning both companies can offer customers a portfolio leveraging the public cloud, DevOps, applications and data expertise of ANS and the private cloud, hosting and security knowhow of UKFast.

The new group will look to provide a host of new jobs in the sector with plans to hire 100 new staff over the remainder of 2021 as well as set up a Digital Academy and enhanced apprenticeship programmes.

Paul Nannetti has been appointed Chair of the combined group, having previously been a member of the Capgemini Group leadership team. He said: “The combined Group will be an incubator of leading‐edge skills and capabilities to help our customers benefit from agile, affordable and scalable technologies to transform their businesses.”

Ian Brown of UKFast and Paul Shannon and Chris Hodgson of ANS will join the combined Group’s Board

Brown added: “With Inflexion’s vision and support we are creating a unique digital transformation business.”
