Zen focusses mind on carbon neutrality

Zen Internet has pledged to become the first Net Zero broadband provider, removing more carbon emissions from the environment than it generates by 2028.

The ISP will undergo a Greenhouse Gas Protocol then implement a reduction plan and offset remaining emissions through a set of projects such as reforestation and soil enhancement projects.

CEO Paul Stobart said: “We are under no illusions that this commitment will involve a huge amount of work within the business but want to show the industry that it’s possible to be successful without neglecting our social responsibilities.”

The commitment is in line with Zen’s new status as a B Corporation, which balances purpose and profit.
