ITS ramps up Nottingham full fibre build

Aviva-backed altnet ITS Technology Group is entering its second phase of full fibre building in Nottingham, planning to more than triple its digital infrastructure in the area to 62km.

The second phase builds on the original fibre that runs along the tramlines, taking it out to industrial and business parks surrounding the city centre to provide gigabit capability to more businesses who will also have access to IT, telephony, connectivity solutions through ITS’ regional partner community.

CEO Daren Baythorpe said: “Reliable, high speed connectivity is a necessity, and we continue to work with our partners to identify the areas that are underserved.”

ITS’ build is in line with the Government’s promise to have 100% gigabit capability by 2033.
