Vaioni unveils ‘massive’ SDN network expansion

Vaioni Wholesale has announced a multi-million-pound investment in its Ethernet network (V.E.N.).

Once complete the company claims it will be one of the most powerful Software Defined Networks in the UK. 
 
Vaioni Wholesale initially launched V.E.N. into three of the UK’s major digital hubs (London, Manchester and Birmingham) in 2015, with the aim of helping its partners acquire bigger and faster Ethernet connections with disruptive commercials. Since then, a further six cities have been added and the network currently connects over 60 cities and towns, 96 exchanges and 180,000 postcodes throughout the UK.

This latest expansion will incorporate 170 UK cities and towns, connecting approximately 80% of UK businesses to the advanced network. Built on Vaioni Wholesale’s Core Network, which claims a 100% uptime for the last three years, V.E.N. standardises 1Gb and 10Gb services with the highest reliability and security, to enable its partners maintain a competitive advantage. 

Sachin Vaish, Managing Director, Vaioni Wholesale (pictured) believes the V.E.N. provides the Channel with a genuine alternative to the main large Ethernet carriers backed up by the highest level of customer service, support and fast provisioning and an ”industry leading SLA”.
