IP Phone sales drives European business telephony endpoints market

Frost & Sullivan has forecasted that European business telephony endpoint shipments will grow at a rate moderately higher than PBX line shipments. The IP phones segment, which accounts for almost a half of the total market revenue, is driving this growth, says the analyst firm.

"Long-awaited IP phone sales takeoff can finally be observed on the market and it is driving the telephony endpoints market," notes Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Dorota Oviedo. "As many businesses have migrated to IP PBX, after converging their network, they are increasingly taking action to expand IP deployments. This is impacting different categories such as IP desk phones, softphones, SIP phones and wireless IP phones."
