Zest4 to stage reseller Twitter clinics

Twitter clinics held by Zest4 will help resellers maximise the revenue potential from selling Unified Communications solutions, claims the company, which is staging social media based Q&A sessions during dedicated time slots.

The first in the series (24th May at 11am) will be focused on selling M2M and IoT solutions and will be hosted by Anton Le Saux, Head of IoT.

Zest4 appoints M2M & IoT Business Development Manager

Zest4 has enlisted Ian Davis as M2M & IoT Business Development Manager to work alongside Anton Le Saux who was appointed Head of M2M in September 2016.

Davis brings over 20 years mobile industry experience and has notable stints at Ericsson and Exertis under his belt.

Tech Data expands IoT offering with relayr agreement

Tech Data's Technology Solutions business, formerly a division of Avnet, has signed a new agreement with Berlin-based IoT solutions provider relayr to supply its IoT middleware platform to partners across EMEA. The announcement expands the agreement that Technology Solutions announced with relayr in the US in November 2016.

Amscreen expands IoT partnership with Vodafone

Manufacturer of digital screens Amscreen has extended its partnership with Vodafone UK for IoT connectivity management.

The new 36 month agreement sees Amscreen expand its collaboration with Vodafone as it develops its Smart Cities solutions and explores the use of digital screen infrastructure to capture and analyse city information at street level.

Avnet builds collaborative IoT ecosystem

Avnet is gearing up to host a ‘Monetising IoT event' on 25th January in partnership with Cisco, Hitachi Data Systems, IBM and Informatica.

Avnet sees its role as supporting and bringing partners and vendors together, as any single organisation is unlikely to have the skills and portfolio necessary to create an IoT solution from edge to enterprise.

IoT connected devices to triple by 2021

IoT devices, sensors and actuators will reach over 46 billion in 2021, according to Juniper Research, representing a 200% increase from 2016 driven in large part by a reduction in the unit costs of hardware.

Juniper forecasts that it will average close to the ‘magic' $1 throughout the period.
