Yealink UK's newly launched VP530 video-equipped HD business class SIP handset has been certified compliant with Broadsoft's popular BroadWorks platform.
The move means the full Yealink range of SIP telephone and video handsets are now BroadWorks compatible, able to integrate with a range of value-added third party applications such as video, voice, hosted call centre, conferencing, messaging and mobility.
Yealink's MD Andrew Roberts said: "BroadWorks is a platform embraced by many UK resellers as a gateway to bespoke unified communication solutions. Securing interoperability with our products is therefore a key aim for Yealink and we're delighted to have achieved certification from Broadsoft so soon after bringing the VP530 to market."
News of Broadsoft interoperability follows the VP530 securing compatibility with other key IP-PBX solutions offered by Avaya, Asterisk and 3CX. Its three way video-conference facility can operate via the LifeSize platform while the door phone function can also be used in conjunction with Mobotix and Linkcom.
"IP telephony and SIP are now widely accepted. The connectivity has become more affordable and businesses are moving key services to the cloud. We see a majority of new RFPs requesting hosted."
