Virtual1 has reached its first network milestone in lighting up the north west just five months after announcing plans to roll its network out across the UK.
"Greater Manchester was an obvious early target for the networks expansion, with many existing channel partners based there and the business opportunities being created as part of the Northern Powerhouse initiatives," said Neil Wilson, Product & Marketing Manager.
"These initiatives further help to create a clear need for competitive and highly performing Ethernet services, to both sustain and fuel future business growth."
On net services will be available throughout Central Manchester as well as Liverpool, Warrington, Preston, Bolton and Blackburn among others.
These services will also benefit from the power of Virtual1's fully software defined network feature set.
"Launched at the end of July it puts partners in direct control of the solutions that they provide, with 35 different features, including bandwidth, all configurable online in real-time," added Wilson.
Virtual1 is marking this achievement by running its first Partner event outside of London, with the senior leadership team hosting an event in Manchester on September 20th.
"The bulk of Virtual1's expanding network will be live this calendar year, with further Partner events planned as regions come online," said Wilson.
