Hinckley-based Solwise Telephony is on song after providing the data links for this year's Glastonbury Festival.
The company specialises in providing high quality broadband at short notice and for short periods across the UK. With speeds up to 20Mb via a standard telephone line, and the facility to activate this for just a few days, the organisers of many major events now use Solwise's services
Solwise Telephony has also spent the last six years developing a telephone system that uses these high quality data lines instead of standard BT lines. Call quality can be guaranteed, and the system brings both cash savings and improved productivity to businesses, said the firm.
The company will also be providing broadband services and phone lines at the Reading Festival, the T in the Park festival in Scotland and the Latitude Festival in Suffolk, the V Festivals at Weston Park, Staffordshire and Hylands Park, Chelmsford in August, and the Big Chill event at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire, also in August.
Solwise managing director, Martin Stephenson, said: "Our range of products enables us to provide a value-for-money package covering everything from the installation of telephone lines through to quality data links and the new Sipswitch IP telephone system. The company already supplies some 600 clients including the BBC, banks, and recruitment agencies. Other recent events the company has been involved in include last month's Chelsea Flower Show."

'If you are worried about laying off engineers, why not re-deploy them in sales while the installations side picks up? You often find that the best dealers are former engineers who have a broad knowledge of the industry, who customers trust to give them sound advice and a solution that works for them.'
