IT recruitment agency CV Screen has noted a 25% monthly increase in the demand for IT professionals as the IT jobs market continues to show signs of recovery.
During the same period there was also a 27% decline in the number of applicants per vacancy, which shows that IT professionals are securing new IT Jobs at a faster rate, says the company.
CV Screen's Matthew Iveson commented: "We have seen some encouraging signs over the last couple of months with more enquiries from employers looking to recruit talented staff. Candidates with strong PHP, Linux and SharePoint skills remain the most sought after in the current marketplace."
Iveson highlighted that the increase in demand in June was as a result of a large number of new enquiries: He added: "Following a tough first quarter to the year, we are seeing signs that optimism is returning to the industry and we fully expect that the second half of the year will be a busier time for the IT jobs market."

'If you are worried about laying off engineers, why not re-deploy them in sales while the installations side picks up? You often find that the best dealers are former engineers who have a broad knowledge of the industry, who customers trust to give them sound advice and a solution that works for them.'
