Oak Telecom has sealed an agreement with the developer of the Abillity billing platform, Union Street Technologies, under which the manufacturer is to service customers direct.
Under the terms of the agreement Union Street Technologies gains direct access to the customers and will increase its investment in developing and supporting the product. Oak plans to invest more money in new call logging, call recording and CTI solutions. Oak will continue to support Union Street for the coming year. In a statement Oak confirmed, 'We have gone to extreme lengths to protect the customers and ensure that they are well looked after both by Oak and Union Street going forward'.
James Emm, Joint CEO, Oak Telecom, commented: "Our aim at Oak has always been to give our resellers the competitive edge and this deal cements this for ABillity and WLR3 going forward. In addition, Oak is making an increased investment in it's own in-house written call logging, call recording and CTI products that will also increase reseller's profits. It has been a real pleasure working with Union Street on this fantastic billing product."
Tony Cook, MD, Union Street Technologies, added: "Oak, as our exclusive UK distributor, has been a fantastic company to work with and we're excited about this opportunity to get closer to the end users and to deliver an even better billing and WLR3 solution."
