Nokia UK expands its senior team with two key appointments

Nokia UK has enhanced its Senior Team with two key appointments. Adrian Williams joins as the new Head of Business Mobility and Rupert Englander has been appointed to the role of Head of Software & Services, Go-To-Market (GTM) UK.

Williams will be responsible for leading the Business Mobility Sales Team in providing mobility, fixed mobile convergence and security solutions to enterprises and operators. Adrian has background in technology and telecoms and joins from T-Mobile where he was a key member in leading the Business Mobility team. Adrian will report to Managing Director Simon Ainslie and joins the Nokia Team in August.

Rupert will lead and manage the Software & Services GTM Business, which aims to ensure a seamless introduction and life-cycle management of products, services, software and solutions in order to maximise sales and achieve strategic market impact. Rupert will report to Head of Go-to-Market, Sami Lehtinen.

Rupert also has a strong heritage in the mobile industry, having worked for operators for the last eight years. During this time he has developed, launched and managed content services such as music, games, TV, location based services and presence.

Commenting on these appointments, Simon Ainslie, Nokia's UK Managing Director, said: "We are very pleased to have Adrian and Rupert on board. They will be valuable additions to the Nokia UK team, as Nokia continues to push the boundaries of both the consumer and business mobile marketplace.

Adrian Williams said of his appointment: "The importance that mobility plays within business continues to grow and Nokia, through Channel Partnerships, is providing mobility solutions to some of the world's largest enterprises. I join at an exciting time where we are beginning to see a real convergence between our business and personal lives and mobile professionals now want devices that can meet both requirements. Nokia is at the forefront of addressing this emerging trend."

Rupert Englander commented on his new role: "Solutions and services capabilities are now an integral part of a consumer's decision when choosing a new mobile device. Through Ovi and its strategic partnerships with operators, Nokia is leading the field in both device and services development. I'm pleased to be joining such a strong team and working to maximise sales of existing services such as Nokia Music Store and Enhanced Nokia Maps, while developing and launching new services to come."
