Nimans and Rocom have staked the future of their Music on Hold business on an exclusive series of the Fortune range of music on hold players.
The distributors no longer stock traditional CD players favouring MP3-based technology. Dealer Sales Director, Tom Maxwell, said the Fortune range has registered a big impact since being launched two years ago at Rocom and last year at Nimans. Fortune carries a three-year warranty.
Maxwell noted: "MP3 represents the future of Music on Hold for us. Sales are growing on a monthly basis. Nimans and Rocom are also enjoying impressive sales success with a complementary message on hold service, based on a professional script which is tailored for individual sites."
According to Maxwell, MP3 files are much more user friendly than CD players. He continued: "The entry-level MOH 1200 is an MP3 Music On Hold player that connects to any PBX and has the capacity to provide music and messages to callers put on hold.
"It is simple to use - just drag and drop MP3 files to the unit via a USB port and up to 32MB of data can be held on the flash memory, equivalent to 60 minutes of messages."
The mid-range Fortune 1600 includes 128MB of Flash Memor. Meanwhile the flagship MOH 2000 is suitable for organisations that need to update content remotely. It can be programmed to self-update at preset intervals via an internet connection to a remote server.

'If you are worried about laying off engineers, why not re-deploy them in sales while the installations side picks up? You often find that the best dealers are former engineers who have a broad knowledge of the industry, who customers trust to give them sound advice and a solution that works for them.'
