The role of fibre connectivity in the data infrastructure world was explored in detail during a Focus Day staged by Nimans at its Trafford Park Manchester Trade Counter.
The distributor teamed up with fibre specialist Greenlee Communications to demonstrate the latest equipment including fusion splicers, OTDR meters, fibre inspection, fibre tooling, visual fault locators, light sources and USB power meters.
The initiative attracted a steady stream of visitors including a Worsley-based reseller who commented: "I've never dealt with fibre before but as an engineer it's definitely something we are looking to embrace as the whole market is moving down that road."
