Telecom provider Fluidata has launched ‘Advance', and bills the service as 'reliable internet connectivity' for both voice and data applications, with a built in failover between two carrier networks. This enables both lines to run simultaneously as well as being used for independent traffic, so minimising downtime if there's a fault, since one line can fail over to the other line and visa versa, said the firm.
Piers Daniell, Managing Director of Fluidata, said: "As an increasing number of businesses move over to VoIP, they are now requiring a stronger assurance that data and voice isn't lost if there's a technical fault. At Fluidata, we have invested much research into developing products that effectively provide resilience without the aggregation."
With Advance, since failover between multiple carriers and technologies offers maximum uptime, both lines can therefore be used for independent purposes. Also any traffic is seamlessly and automatically failed onto the other line should one go down."
Fluidata provides services to a number of large corporates including the NHS who understand that this technology allows them to save cost, increase uptime and because of its self healing capability reduce the time their internal IT team needs to support it.

'If you are worried about laying off engineers, why not re-deploy them in sales while the installations side picks up? You often find that the best dealers are former engineers who have a broad knowledge of the industry, who customers trust to give them sound advice and a solution that works for them.'
