MTV Telecom targets mid-market with new Avaya distribution agreement

Martin HatcherMTV Telecom has signed a new distribution agreement with Avaya that will see the Egham-based value added distributor target the mid-market with Avaya's MultiVantage Express and the S8300 Media Servers together with the complete Avaya handset range.

MTV Telecom is currently Avaya's EMEA SMB Distributor of the year and will build upon the success they have already achieved in that market over the last six years with the Avaya IP Office.

Martin Hatcher, Chairman of MTV Telecom, commented: "Resellers welcome choice and we intend to provide our channel partners for MultiVantage Express the same professional support they have become accustomed to from MTV Telecom with the IP Office. The mid-market is not new territory for our company as we have been providing larger applications into this space for some time, but with this move we are now able to deliver a one vendor continuity solution for resellers.

"The sales proposition for the MultiVantage Express is predicated upon the fact that Avaya has packaged the products to make installation, support and pricing as simple as possible, a move which I believe represents a big step forward for the channel. From day one MTV Telecom will hit the streets running with MultiVantage Express and S8300 Media Servers."

Mark Mitchell, Vice-President, EMEA Channels, Avaya, added: "As a valued partner, MTV Telecom will no doubt bring the benefits of its Avaya expertise to bear as it helps mid-market businesses take advantage of the benefits Avaya technology offers to the key mid-market segment."
