Mobix launches 2Buzz package for teleconferencing on BlackBerry smartphones

Teleconferencing firm Mobix has launched its 2Buzz package for teleconferencing on BlackBerry smartphones. A reseller version of the 2Buzz application allows channel partners to generate extra revenues, through extra network traffic, every time 2Buzz is used.

The 2Buzz application allows users to set up teleconferences from a BlackBerry smartphone with a single click. Groups can be formed to manage and create teleconferences using the BlackBerry smartphone's address book or simply by sending an email. It is even possible for each contact to be alerted of a conference call by either SMS or email.

The 2Buzz application can be installed over-the-air, in bulk, to all of an organisation's BlackBerry smartphones preventing the need for costly, time consuming, updates in the office. For BlackBerry Enterprise Server customers Mobix's 2Buzz application also takes advantage of the high security capabilities as well as security parameters that are built into the solution.

Richard Harris, Vice-President at Mobix, said: "As business has become more mobile, people are finding using BlackBerry smartphones the easiest way to conduct business on the move. Mobix's 2Buzz saves even more time than email conversations when issues arise, as they can be dealt with immediately via a teleconference. The teleconference can be organised with a single click on a BlackBerry smartphone with all recipients informed. It is the first truly on-demand teleconferencing solution.

"Mobix provides a tailored version of 2Buzz application for resellers, which identifies all calls from a device so that resellers can generate call revenues. To generate this revenue stream, all resellers need do is encourage their customers to download the 2Buzz application - which can be done over-the-air."
