Bedfordshire-based Integra ICT has acquired Herts company Applied IT on the back of a year that saw record growth.
Integra ICT's Managing Director Pas Ruggiero said: "As our customers increasingly look to Integra to provide integrated voice and desktop solutions, it makes sense to acquire an organisation which will complement our core voice expertise."
Stewart Peart, Managing Director of Applied IT, will continue to be part of the new organisation. He added: "Applied IT has been built with a client-focus and it's exciting to now be part of a larger company which shares this philosophy."
Integra ICT increased its profitability by 20% during 2011, and according to Ruggiero last year was one of the most successful in the company's 20-plus year history. "Integra's core philosophy of the 5Cs - Commitment, Communication, Collaboration, Client Focus and Constant and Never-ending Improvement (CANI) were at the heart of this success."
"IP telephony and SIP are now widely accepted. The connectivity has become more affordable and businesses are moving key services to the cloud. We see a majority of new RFPs requesting hosted."
