South West Communications Group has pledged its continued support to Exeter Chiefs rugby club by sponsoring its latest addition to Sandy Park Stadium.
The South West Communications Stand was erected at the start of the 2008/09 season at the south end of the ground. It provides 2,100 covered extra seats and has boosted Sandy Park's capacity from 5,900 to 7,300.
It has been added to the modern facilities at Sandy Park to give comfort and shelter to the supporters that sit there, which are mostly young fans and their families.
South West Communications Group's managing director Harry Langley said: "With the Grandstand selling out week in week out, it had become clear to the club that there was a real need for extra seating, especially for youngsters who would not be able to get a clear and comfortable view if they were standing.
"As main club sponsors, we were only too pleased to help pay towards the rental of the new stand, which has already proved popular this season, especially when it rains!"
South West Communications Group has been Exeter Chiefs' main sponsor for the last 15 years and is also the first team sponsor under the name of South West Telecoms.
