Gamma Telecom switches to dedicated fibre with Geo

Geo, a provider of dedicated fibre networks, has won and implemented a contract worth £40,000 over thee-years for a fibre ring with Gamma Telecom.

Gamma has selected Geo to provide it with a diverse fibre connection between two key London co-location hotels, City Lifeline to Harbour Exchange. In a strategic move from a managed service to dedicated fibre, Gamma was looking to create a fully resilient network between its two sites. The new network will also provide its customers with greater network reliability as well as the increased capacity for a wider range of bandwidth hungry voice and data applications.

Andy Morris, Service Director, Gamma Telecom, said: "We were impressed not only by the cost effective nature of Geo's fibre solution, but also by their experienced project team who successfully delivered the solution in a timely manner."

Chris Smedley, Chief Executive, Geo, added: "Not only has Gamma extended its backbone network, but also added new points of presence to their London network."
