Gamma has enhanced its SIP Trunking service, IP DirectConnect, making it even faster and easier for resellers to provision customers with IP Telephony services.
Resellers can now log onto the Gamma portal and automatically generate a live account within seconds. Once they create the order, all of the telephone numbers are provisioned automatically and customers can be connected to the PSTN via an IP network in a number of minutes.
Alan Mackie, Senior Product Manager at Gamma Telecom, said: "Previously, our resellers would log onto a portal and we would manually create the order in around ten days. Although we had very good feedback from our partners on the service itself, they often needed to deploy SIP trunks faster. As a result, we have fully automated the service to provision new orders within minutes, which means that resellers can take an order on Thursday and have the service up and running the next day."
Gamma Telecom also said that its Instant SIP Trunking service now ‘guarantees complete provisioning accuracy', as it is all handled by an automatic system, leaving no room for human error. David Alldritt, Technical Director at Highnet, is an early advocate of Gamma's updated service. He noted: "We no longer have to track whether accounts have gone live because the numbers are generated within seconds. In the past, we would have to regularly check the portal to see where the order was in the process."
Mackie observed that many resellers are dealing with customers who need to move offices, or open new ones at very short notice because of challenges or opportunities in the recession.
"We can now help them to cope with these challenges and offer instant SIP Trunking," said Mackie. "Resellers can now forget about any account generation headaches and get on with fitting the PBX or adding an Internet connectivity package to the deal."

"The good thing about social media, especially for smaller comms resellers, is that it's free. Particularly in times like this when budgets are tight, social media should definitely be an avenue for resellers to pursue."
